Thesa used to use “another brand” of home tour, but once she decided to switch to Real Estate Shows, she did it all the way! She is a BIG fan of Real Estate Shows. She loves it and she’ll tell you why.
She’s had some great successes with her Shows, too. She told me about how she’s been taking pictures everywhere she goes, then putting together some beautiful shows of the Oregon wilderness. She lives and works in an area that has a lot of vacation homes, the kind of place that people love as a get-away.
Thesa’s market is slowing down, but she’s managing to stay ahead of the pack. She told me what she’s doing, and said I could share her secret with you.
She makes these beautiful shows of the natural beauty of her area, then sends them on to everyone she knows. They’re just as in love with the place as she is, and often forward the shows on to others, too.
The magic lies in what she adds – she’s connected Shows of her listings or neighborhoods.
People who really enjoy what they’re seeing want to see more, so they click on Related Shows to see what else there might be. What they’re finding is that Thesa has a house ready and waiting for them. If they want to see more gorgeous scenery, here’s a very good way to do it – buy this!
Oh, she’s a clever one!!
View her Show below, and then think about how you could use this secret yourself.
We’ve had several requests for information on how to embed Shows into ActiveRain.com blog posts. The post illustrated in this video is located here: embedding Real Estate Shows.
How To Embed Real Estate Shows Into ActiveRain Posts.
It was so nice to be thanked, but I was happy to do it. It’s for a cause I believe in very much. It didn’t cost me anything but time. I feel that I got back more than I gave.
I should have sent THEM the thank you card!
But at the same time, this only encourages me to do more. Making Shows for charities is a very simple thing. My subscription to Real Estate Shows covers ALL the Shows I want to make this year. You can bet I’m going to make a lot! I could make a Show for every charity in town, and it wouldn’t cost me anything but a little of my time.
And they appreciate it so much. Most charities are run on shoe string budgets. (I know a lot of us agents can sympathize with this!) Meeting up with a charity you believe in and giving them a little of your time can create a bond that is helpful to you both. They could use a little more internet exposure, and I’m sure you wouldn’t complain about having your name associated with a good cause, right?
You’ve worked really hard to build up a good internet presence in your community. Share a little of the wealth you’ve created with others.
One thing most real estate agents aspire to is to be seen as a local expert. If you truly understand an area inside and out, it’s going to be a huge benefit for your clients. Whether they’re local themselves or transferring in, it’s good to let them know that you’re going to be a big help getting them settled in. It relieves a certain amount of stress in a move when you trust your agent.
One of the ways you can show off your local knowledge is by displaying what you know on your website and blog. (If you don’t tell us you know, we just have to guess, don’t we?)
Real Estate Shows are an interesting, interactive boost to your online presence. They look GREAT in a blog or on a site, and they give your readers the opportunity to find out more information if they choose. They’re not pushy, they’re just THERE. Click the little arrow if you want to see more. Perfect.
A Show is a great way to sum up an article on local news or events. Your tone can be friendly, teasing, serious … whatever, based on your words and the music you select.
If you’re using your Shows in this way or decide to give it a try, please let us know by leaving a link in the comments. We’d love to see it!
One thing I’ve noticed since I started writing for Real Estate Shows is that there are so many people that don’t get full use out of their tours.
This REALLY surprises me! When I started out as a brand new agent, Real Estate Shows was one of my very first investments in my business. When I learned that I could make as many Shows as I liked for one yearly fee, I knew I could more than get my money’s worth out of this service!
As real estate agents, we are constantly reinvesting in our businesses. Often, the money we invest doesn’t give us much of a return. We’re just taking a chance, hoping things will go well.
Real Estate Shows is a sure thing, though! Of course you’ll use it for listings. If you want to pamper your clients, make up CDs of their Show and pass them out at Open Houses. Make a Show of the neighborhood and link them together for extra exposure. Put their Show on your website, blog, MLS and all over the internet!
But even if you’re just starting out and don’t have a listing, or you’re a seasoned agent and just like to make full use of your toys, make up more Shows! Use one as an example of what you can do for your clients. Show them your brokerage so they’ll feel at home when they visit you there for the first time. Create Shows of your local area, your favorite restaurants or where to hang out.
Building up a library of Shows can help give your clients confidence that you are the person who can help them with their real estate needs. It only takes a little time and no extra cost to you — so why wouldn’t you?
