That’s just sloppy journalism. It would have done 60 Minutes’ viewers a greater service to present a balanced report with real facts, not just superficial drama that scares people.

So true my friend for the reality is that Perception is Reality. It is always disapointing when half truths and or lies get som much play. The rebuttal will and or correction will usually be offered on page 11.

Great stuff. I just read a post on AR about the NAR dues going up to help fight this. What a joke. Talk about a dirty organization capitalizing on this! The show comes out, then the associations raise dues to fight it? Did the NAR sponsor the 60 minutes show in order to raise dues with justification?

Dee…TV Shows are in business to go for the ratings. If they happen to get the facts straight in the process it is purely coincidental. And in this case, if they had treated the story and Realtors objectively there would not have been a newsworthy story.

But the bigger issue, I think, is that too many people believe the 60 Minutes point of view. And that is what Realtors must work to dispel – the public perception.

I’m pretty disappointed in the news shows when they decide to go for ratings instead of a real story. They could have at least thrown us a bone!
