Amazing What Love, Blogging And RES Can Do …
There have been several times when I’ve thought to myself, “That is the best, most original use for a Real Estate Show I have ever seen!” It has happened again, and this one is truly going to be hard to top. I just don’t see how it could happen. (But please, you guys go on and try!)
Shortly before Christmas, Monika McGillicuddy of Prudential Verani Realty/Hampstead woke up from a very vivid dream that she’d written to her husband’s unknown birth mother. The dream was so real that she felt a need to go ahead and write that letter, and like a the fabulous blogger that she is, the letter came out in the form of a post.
Monika thanked Jay’s birth mother, and spoke as one woman to another about the love they share for him. It’s one of the most touching, personal posts I have ever read.
And at the end of her post, Monika made a Real Estate Show of Jay growing up before our eyes. What an absolute treasure that must have been for his mother!
Because yes, thanks to Monika’s post, Jay DID find his birth mother – and siblings! He wrote about it on his blog.
This is one of the more amazing blogging stories I’ve heard, and I wanted to share it with you. Here’s Monika’s Show. I’m sure that even if you don’t know Jay, you’ll understand what a gift this must have been for his newly found family.
Monika and Jay, thanks from me, too — just because you let us share in the journey.

This one may be impossible to top. Thank you, Sarah!
And thank you Jay and Monika for allowing us to take this journey with you!!
Amazing!
I enjoy Real Estate Shows and know that I got a lot of compliments on my tribute to Dad, but this is really cool. Way to go Monika!
Sarah - this is one amazing story - I don’t know if we can even call it Real Estate Shows anymore - it’ll have to be Life Shows or something…………….
Thank you Sarah and everyone at Real Estate Shows.com,
I had no idea when I submitted my post that morning how our lives would change. We both are still very much in shock but it’s a very good peaceful feeling. Our hope is to someday be able to take a trip to Germany to meet the extended family. We’d go tomorrow if we could but in the meantime our show on Real Estate shows allows his family see some of his growing years. Years they missed. What a great tool you guys gave us and I love Paula’s suggestion…”Life Shows” as they can be so much more than a real estate show.
Thank you so much Sarah and Jeff and everyone at RealEstateShows.com and evryone that has commented.
Thank you Real Estate Shows for featuring this post of Monika & Jay’s. They are my good friends and I know how much it meant for them to be able to share Jay’s pictures with his long lost family now found. Their love has sustained them over the course of the years and will continue to move them forward no matter the obsticles in their way. They will get to Germany to see his family I believe sooner rather than later but in the mean time they will keep in touch with his family via email and pictures shared on the Real Estate Show.
Sarah, they say grown men don’t cry but I am one that get’s very emotional at the drop of the hat. This is very nice of you to post this here. We love real estate shows as we really feel it is so versatile.
Jeff is real easy to talk to and you can suggest changes and see them get actually implemented. Real Estate Shows really listens to their customers and that is why they are able to provide us with a great program, hands down.
and to think that Monika and Jay let us all be part of the experience makes it even more amazing!!!
Jeff this whole story was amazing. Moni and Jay are friends now and being able to be a part of the unfolding of the story was wonderful. The video on her blog - and your mention of Jay’s mother being able to see those photos…I had not even gone their in my mind.
This story is truly what the ethernet is all about no?
When I first tested real estate shows, I made a video tribute to my son for the end of a great football season at the Naval Academy. More recently, I did a birth announcement of my first grandson. I think it is a little confusing for the receipients when they see http://www.realestateshows.com/240101 to see my grandson or http://www.realestateshows.com/233797 to see Navy football! A couple have suggested I rename my program! They think I designed the whole real estate shows website - ha! Thanks for a fantastic tool!
