If you want your Shows to have a deeper impact, write narrative titles that do more than just describe what is being shown in the photos. Give the viewer more than they can already see with their eyes.
Mike Hooghkirk, from RE/MAX All Cities, did just that. “The titles are something that came to me,” Mike said, “after meeting with the owners of the property and understanding what their home has meant to them and what it could mean to someone else.”
Mike used words that went beyond what could be seen in the photos to illustrate how the viewer was going to feel living in the home and making it their own. And he did it with very few words. When in doubt, keep it simple.
We thought it would help to show you the difference between great titles and the usual titles we read. We got permission from Mike to use his photos and we wrote the kind of narrative titles we typically see on our Shows. We know you’ve either seen or wrote titles like this yourself. We also know you’ll be able to feel the difference.
“I think that your service is an invaluable tool that I can not only use to grow my business,” Mike added, “but give back to my clients as a personal way of thanking them for allowing me to be a part of their lives.”
Mike, thank you for making a Show that effectively illustrates the power of words to create a connection between the viewer and the home. Very well done.
