Flash Upgrades

If you are having problems viewing Shows correctly at RealEstateShows.com, you may need to upgrade your Flash extensions to the latest versions. Here’s how to do that.

First, make sure your browser security level is set to “Medium: Default Level.” This allows you to view Flash content. If you have customized your security level, be sure that both the “Download Signed ActiveX controls” and “Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins” options are set to “Prompt.” [Firefox Browser Instructions @ About.com]

To change your security level:

  1. Open Internet Explorer.
  2. Choose Tools > Internet Options.
  3. Select the Security tab.
  4. Choose Internet.
  5. Click Custom Level.
  6. Ensure that the “Download Signed ActiveX controls” option is set to “Prompt”.
  7. Ensure that the “Run ActiveX controls and plug-ins” option is set to “Prompt”.

To make certain you don’t accidentally run two versions of Flash at once, go to softwarepatch.com and uninstall flash using their uninstaller. It can be downloaded from:

After you have uninstalled the old version of Flash, reinstall Flash with the stand alone installer provided by SoftwarePatch.com. It can be downloaded from:

Here is a quick video to show you how to uninstall the old version and install the new version using the two links above.
