This is marks the first time Jott has NOT been able to transcribe a message from me. Here is the message I received: [speech too fast, please listen] So, that means this is being transcribed by me. Bummer.
As, I listened, I realize my call quality was not good.
I’m sure that’s the real reason it could not transcribe properly. That’s not the point of this post, however. The point of this post is to update the blog and force some content to the search engines so that I can better test the new SiteNeighbors.com widget in the sidebar. I was happy I could do it from my car… maximizing time is good. Wasting time is bad.
This didn’t work out the way I had hoped. Â

| Ok people, is anyone still reading this little Jott blog experiment? If so, let’s see if we can put our heads together and figure out what the perfect uses for a Jott to draft might be. I think there is a lot of opportunity for that, especially when it does not publish directly, but gives you a start to a post (like this did), so if you are watching make some comments. How would you use Jott if you could dictate the Jott and know it was going to draft mode so you could edit later? What circumstances would benefit from the blog reader being able hear the audio used to seed the post?—Thanks. |

Posting a Jott to draft mode. That’s what we are testing now. This is the first Jott that we’ve set to post to draft mode, and then we’ll see if this works. wish us luck.

[We did this test because many have asked whether this would be possible. It is. Steve changed the config file for Postie and it worked perfectly. Jott to draft, if nothing else, is a great way to get Blog ideas into a place where you can work on them later.]

| Jott voices has made me think about uses for grandcentral.com If you haven’t seen Jotts new voices capability go to jott.com and take a look, but it makes me think that there are some interesting ways to use voices mail to E-mail for testimonials at customer service issues. |

| Traffic is the reason why I think Jott blogging has got to be something worth paying attention to. As soon as you get past the 15 second limit, this is the way to make use of time like this where I am stuck in traffic on the 405 south. |

| The concept of Jott blogging seems to be getting some good reviews. I think one of the things that will push this further is increasing the time past 15 seconds. Not sure what the possibilities of that are in the near feature. |
